I had an awesome experience working with Lewis @ Island Imports SSI to import my Honda Acty. From start to finish, the team was on top of everything and kept me updated every step of the way. They made the whole process straightforward, handled all the paperwork, and answered all my questions—no matter how small.
What really stood out was how transparent and honest they were about costs and timing. There were no surprises, and they genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with the end result. My Acty showed up exactly as described, and I couldn’t be happier. If you’re thinking about importing a JDM vehicle, I highly recommend Island Imports SSI. They made what could have been a stressful process totally painless.

My wife saw this 1993 Landcruiser Prada for sale and wanted it NOW ! So, we got it. Can’t say enough good things about it. It’s just about the coolest car on the road. My wife absolutely loves it and she smiles the whole time she is driving it. The company was awesome to work with. Everything went very smoothly. No problems whatsoever.

Lewis is an awesome guy. My daughter had been eyeballing a particular Land Cruiser Prado she has seen driving around town. Then our lucky day struck when we saw it for sale at the local lot. I called the number, not knowing a thing about Lewis, or imported cars. When we finally got a chance to drive the car, Lewis was honest and direct. I told him I was interested in the vehicle and wanted to buy it but I wanted to have it checked out by a mechanic first. Not being from the local area, I did not have the name of any reputable mechanics. Lewis was able to point me in the right direction and we were able to get it checked out. I was worried about an oil leak, but Lewis and the mechanic confirmed that it was just residual oil from a recent oil change. A couple weeks later, I noticed a small coolant leak so I went back to the same mechanic. I didn't say anything to Lewis about it, because he obviously didn't know. I had been under the car with him and the mechanic and no one saw the coolant leak. The next day, without ever mentioning the issue to Lewis, I received a call from him. The mechanic had mentioned it to him without me knowing. Lewis volunteered to pay for the repair and take care of the issue. Lewis ordered the parts and the issue is being taken care of right now. I will 100% be buying more vehicles from Lewis in the future. My daughter LOVES her Prado. Its in pristine condition. All older cars are subject to needing maintenance. I knew that a solid relationship with a mechanic was in my future when buying a 35 year old car... but this one is so clean... runs perfectly.... just a minor coolant leak that Lewis is taking care of. Did I mention that I never even called Lewis to let him know about the leak? That speaks volumes about him and his company. I 10000% recommend.

Worked with Lewis of Island Imports to custom order my 98 Spec Integra Type R. The process was extremely easy, and I had the car in hand super fast after purchasing in Japan! Communication and information along the way was fantastic. 10/10 Experience, and my next import will be coming from Island Imports for sure!

I had Lewis at Island imports custom order a diesel delica for me in late 21, then a diesel strata for me in mid 23. Both were exactly what I was looking for as a much cheaper replacement for my SXS on my farm. Now I’m coming back for a 3rd! He’s a good young man running a good business that treats people right

Recently took delivery of my Honda beat, Lewis special ordered for me! It took a few months to ship but Lewis kept me updated every step along the way. Couldn’t be more happy with the deal I got, can’t wait to work with him again! 5 STARS ⭐️

Just recently purchased a 1995 turbodiesel land cruiser from Lewis. Lewis was definitely the best sales experience I've had when buying any vehicle. He was super kind and patient and was super thorough and most importantly very genuine and honest. He didn't hide anything and pointed out any defects he knew of. Super happy doing business with him and will recommend him to anyone for buying a vehicle from him!

I bought my '96 Mitsubishi Delica L300 from Island Imports SSI and it was delivered as a very clean example, solid frame, good interior, and more! It's been a great running example since my purchase and Lewis handled everything needed with getting the vehicle imported, inspected, and set up with its initial USA title for transfer of ownership. I'll definitely be working with them again for my next import purchase!

Could not have had a better experience buying from Island Imports! Lewis was easy going. communicative and displayed impressive attention to detail. It's clear he has a passion for these cars and values his reputation with his customers. I bought a '97 L300 Delica and am absolutely loving it. Car was in incredible condition, better than advertised, and has been running like a champ.
I look forward to the next opportunity to work with Lewis; in fact, I've already got my dad looking at once of his incoming cars. Can't recommend Island Imports enough.
